BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Surfside Inn Nova Scotia Limited is a company registered in Nova Scotia.  The Surfside Inn operates under a Property Policy. Please review the Registration Policy below before submitting your booking. By submitting a booking, you are signing an agreement with The Property under its terms and conditions. All terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Surfside Inn Nova Scotia Limited is a company registered in Nova Scotia.  The Surfside Inn operates a Property Policy. Please read paragraphs below before you submit your booking. Submitting a booking, you are signing an agreement with The Property under its terms and conditions. All terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

Check-in/Check-out Time:

Check-In:4:00 PM

Check-Out:10:30 AM

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 8 weeks or more before 4:00 p.m. on the check-in day incur no fee. Cancellations made less than 8 weeks before 4:00 p.m. on the check-in day, including no-shows, are charged 100% of the booking amount.

It is advisable to have travel insurance to cover cancellation cost.

The Property shall not be responsible for relocations of reservations in cases beyond of our control and/or property conditions.

The Property shall not be responsible for any liability, loss/damages in cases, including, without limitation, wildfire, active storms & after storms/bad weather interruptions, power outage, electrical, transportation, supplier’ issues, technical issues.

Base Rate: The Surfside Inn base rate is a double occupancy rate for a night stay for a maximum of two people. HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) of 15% is extra.  Meal and beverages are extra. Incidentals – if incur during the stay – will be invoiced and paid by credit card provided.

Single Reservation Deposit: A single deposit of a full cost of booking per room may be made any time on or after the day of booking.  Deposits will be taken by credit card – Visa or Master Card – with the terms and conditions of your booking. If cancelled, payment will be taken according to the Cancellation Policy.

Reservation Confirmation: At the time of your booking accepted, you will receive a reservation confirmation email from the reservation system with the reservation reference number,  details of your room, room rate, dates of arrival/departure.

Payments for Extras: Extra services will be invoiced and paid by Visa or Master card during the stay or after the day of your departure.

Welcoming Children : Children stay free of charge until 3 years old.  For children from 3 to 17 years old, $25 for each is applied for extra bedding in the rooms with the pull-out couch. There are two rooms with the pull-out couch are available: Surfside Retreat and the Hideaway Suite. Extra beds are not available in other rooms.

Arrival: Your room will be ready for you at 4 pm. If your arrival time is going to be after 8-30 pm, please let us know an estimated arrival time. Late check in charge is applied.

Hand sanitizers are placed at the lobby/reception. We will greet you personally to provide you a key from the room.

After Covid-19 safeguard: Our enhanced procedures are still in place inside of the building and guest’ rooms. Upon arrival, you will find the detailed information on current housekeeping changes, and protocol to disinfecting process. Our protocol will be under review to comply with the Provincial Regulations and Tourist Industry Standards.

Pets: Pets are not permitted in any of the guest rooms.

Smoking: Smoking in guest rooms or inside of the building, are not allowed. A $200 fee is applied. If you wish to smoke, please find a designed smoking area at the side yard with the bench, and ash trays.

Flame candles : Flame candles are not allowed.

Personal Assets: Surfside Inn shall not be responsible for the guest’ personal assets, and vehicles.

Special Requests: If the property conditions and policies allowed, your special requests for your stay will be discussed with you and fulfilled if agreed by both sides. Special requests are not included in a base rate, and not included in your contract with The Property.

Damages: You are liable for damages to the room and property. Please report an incident at the time of your stay. An invoice for damaged items, material and labour will be sent to you. An insurance to cover loss or damage to the 3rd party property is recommended.

Refuse to service/Removal from the property: The Property operates Private Property Act and reserves a right to refuse to service and/or remove a person or persons from the property due to anti-social behaviour, humiliating staff on duty, disrupting the business, damage to the property or exceeding the registered occupancy. Refund is excluded.

Liability: The Property will not be liable for any loss and/or injury to any member of your party, vehicles or possessions.

Complaints: At the front desk of the main building lobby, you will find the station for putting all your notes in written. This station is under 24 hrs video monitoring system. Every step will be undertaken to fix an issue. Complaints are also accepted by phone call.

In avoidance of disturbing guests resting in their rooms, complaints are not accepted in verbal form at the front desk. Complaints that are not reported at the time of the stay, will not be responded after you left the property.  No further communications will be undertaken on the matter of complaints after departure.

Technical services: Please report any technical issues in your room timely to give us a chance to get it fixed.

Meal Arrangement: Our Dining room is available by reservations only /72 hrs notice/. Should you wish to book a restaurant meal for your night stay please contact us by email or telephoning at 902 857 2417. Room service is available. Breakfast is not available. For morning meal options, there are local cafes with working hours from 6:30 am.
