BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Surfside Inn Nova Scotia Limited is a company registered in Nova Scotia.  The Surfside Inn operates under a Property Policy. Please review the Registration Policy below before submitting your booking. By submitting a booking, you are signing an agreement with The Property under its terms and conditions. All terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

Check-in/Check-out Time: 

Check-In:4:00 PM 

Check-Out:10:30 AM

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 8 weeks or more before 4:00 p.m. on the check-in day incur no fee. Cancellations made less than 8 weeks before 4:00 p.m. on the check-in day, including no-shows, are charged 100% of the booking amount. It is advisable to have travel insurance to cover cancellation cost.

The Property shall not be responsible for relocations of reservations in cases beyond our control and/or due to property conditions.

The Property shall not be liable for any loss or damages arising from circumstances including, but not limited to, wildfires, active or post-storm conditions, adverse weather interruptions, power outages, electrical issues, transportation disruptions, supplier problems, or technical difficulties.

Base Rate: The Surfside Inn base rate is a double occupancy rate for a night stay for a maximum of two people. HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) of 15% is extra.  Meal and beverages are extra. Incidentals – if incur during the stay – will be invoiced and paid by credit card provided.

Single Reservation Deposit: A single deposit of a full cost of booking per room may be made any time on or after the day of booking.  Deposits will be taken by credit card – Visa or Master Card – with the terms and conditions of your booking. If cancelled, payment will be taken according to the Cancellation Policy. 

Reservation Confirmation: Once your booking is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email from our reservation system. This email will include your reservation reference number, room details, room rate, and dates of arrival and departure.

Payments for Extras: Extra services will be invoiced and paid by Visa or Master card during the stay or after the day of your departure. 

Welcoming Children : Children up to 3 years old stay free of charge. For children aged 3 to 17, there is a $25 fee per child for extra bedding in rooms with a pull-out couch. Two rooms offer pull-out couches: Surfside Retreat and the Hideaway Suite. Extra beds are not available in other rooms.

Arrival: Your room will be ready for you at 4 pm. If your arrival time is going to be after 8:30 pm, please let us know an estimated arrival time. Late check-in charge is applied.

Pets: Pets are not permitted in any of the guest rooms.

Smoking: Smoking in guest rooms or inside of the building are not allowed. A $200 penalty will be applied upon violation. If you wish to smoke, please find a designed smoking area at the side yard with the bench, and ash trays.

Flame candles : Flame candles are not allowed.

Personal Assets: Surfside Inn shall not be responsible for guests’ personal assets and vehicles.

 

Special Requests: We are happy to consider special requests for your stay, subject to property conditions and policies. These requests will be discussed with you and fulfilled if mutually agreed upon. Please note that special requests are not included in the base rate and are not part of your contract with The Property.

Damages: You are liable for damages to the room and property. Please report an incident at the time of your stay. An invoice for damaged items, material and labour will be sent to you. An insurance to cover loss or damage to the 3rd party property is recommended.  

Refuse to service/Removal from the property: The Property operates Private Property Act and reserves a right to refuse to service and/or remove a person or persons from the property due to anti-social behaviour, humiliating staff on duty, disrupting the business, damage to the property or exceeding the registered occupancy. Refund is excluded.

Liability: The Property will not be liable for any loss and/or injury to any member of your party, vehicles or possessions. 

Complaints: To ensure a pleasant experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that you direct any complaints or feedback to us via email. We do not accept verbal complaints in our public areas. Thank you for your understanding.

Technical services: Please report any technical issues in your room timely to give us a chance to get it fixed.

Meal Arrangements: Our dining room is available by reservation only, with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice required. To book a meal during your stay, please contact us by email or phone at 902-857-2417. Room service is also available. Breakfast in not available. Local cafes serve breakfast as early as 6:30am.
